Still 13 400 nuclear weapons owned by 9 countries, are threatening the very survival of humankind and our environment. They divert precious and immense public resources away from meeting people needs. But on January 22nd, 2021, the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons has just entered into force, promoted by a coalition of states, international organisations and a vast international public opinion mobilisation.
Can this momentum bring us to the total elimination of nuclear weapons? What is the situation in the USA, Russia, and European "nuclear weapons supporting states", members of NATO alliance? And what can we do NOW?
